Project 52 Week 3: I Dreamed A Dream

I had grand plans of the photo I wanted to create for this week's prompt. Then life, rain, and short winter days got in the way so, when I walked upstairs and found Ruby Tuesday in the middle of a dream that *HAD* to be taking place at the d.o.g.p.a.r.k. (her "Happiest Place On Earth") because of the way her tail was thumping and her four little legs were running, I thought: Dream!!! She's having a "Dream"!. Unfortunately, the shutter startled her awake and this is what I ended up capturing.

Yes, I feel guilty for interrupting her dream. Yes, I'm going to take her to the d.o.g.p.a.r.k. as soon as the rain lets up. Yes, we spell d.o.g.p.a.r.k. I have no idea what we'll do when she starts spelling.

I Had The Best Day With You (Two)

We went on a Saturday afternoon drive to enjoy the fall colors and to capture a 'Star-Burst' (see below). One of the homes in the neighborhood we drove through had this water feature in their front yard. I was surprised to see these guys and I've worried about them ever since. What if the neighborhood cat spots them? What happens when the temperatures dip below freezing? What kind of time would I serve if I scooped them up and brought them home to sit behind my sink in a big square vase all winter? I'd return them next spring!

Downtown | Last Sunny Day

This past Saturday was the last time Portland will see the sun for the next 300 days. I'm not even exaggerating. So. After I got my hair done at Dosha, I drove down to the riverfront, parked in a parking garage <shudder>, by myself <I could literally hear 'danger music'> and walked around snapping photos to my hearts content.

I'll also Google basic f/stop for landscape BEFORE I go next time rather than after only to find out I should have shot at f/11 or f/13 rather than f/5.6. But I don't care. Why? Because I SHOT ENTIRELY IN MANUAL!!!!! I'm so proud of me! [can you tell?] ;)
 

 

 

  
 

Cake Pops!

 

I've been wanting to try cake pops for a long time and this afternoon, with the help of Melissa at SugarDerby, I finally made them! So easy. So cute. So many flavors and decorating ideas to try. I'm not sure yet how these are going to fit in with my '30 Days of Fitness', but I'll figure that out later. Maybe I won't eat them; I'll just gaze at how cute they are. Yeah. That's what I'll do.
